Areas of Expertise

I truly believe that people are the experts of their own life, that they are capable, resourceful and resilient. By working from a strengths-based approach, I will empower you to recognize the strengths that you already have so that you can utilize them to improve your overall well-being! My professional experience includes working with:

Individuals (children, adolescents and adults) who are experiencing or have experienced anxiety, depression, break-ups/relationship issues, suicidal ideations, self-harming behaviours, disordered eating, grief, childhood trauma, sexual abuse/trauma, PTSD, life transitions and other life challenges! Individual therapy will be helpful for those experiencing any of the above along with those who want to heal from losing someone, processing a break-up, learn coping and grounding skills, improve self-esteem and self-worth, set boundaries and more!

Couples who are experiencing or have experienced issues with communication, unresolved conflict and/or resentment, post separation/divorce, infidelity and more! Couples therapy will be helpful for those who may want to improve communication, learn new skills, repair their relationship, work through resentments, learn to forgive, learn to co-parent more effectively and more!

Families who may be looking to improve communication, deal with unresolved conflict and/or resentment, repair relationships with one another, parent-teen conflict, families going through life transitions and more! Family Therapy will be helpful for those experiencing the above and may also be helpful for parents who may be looking to improve communication with their children, repair relationships, learn different parenting strategies for behaviour management, manage conflict including parent-teen conflict, parents who may be worried about their child/children’s behavior and more!
