Areas of Expertise

Now Offerring:

Clinical Supervision

I am the Owner and Clinical Director of Star Holistic Services Inc., where I provide individual, couple, and family therapy, as well as facilitate workshops and groups. In addition to my private practice counselling experience, I have more than a decade of experience in child welfare as a Child Protection Worker, supporting children and their families and have fostered over 30 youth through various Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario.

Alongside my counselling practice, I serve as a Clinical Supervisor for Registered Social Workers and as a Field Instructor for Master of Social Work students at the University of Toronto. I have also supervised and mentored over 25 Child and Youth Workers, as well as numerous Social Work students.

My professional experience further includes working as a School Social Worker and Attendance Counsellor with the TDSB, where I supported children, youth, and families through both direct intervention and systemic advocacy.

I am proficient in a range of therapeutic modalities—including but not limited too Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based approaches—to support diverse clients. Skilled in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, and more.

I have a strong background in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, case management, and systemic advocacy, with extensive experience collaborating with schools, community agencies, and child welfare organizations.

I am known for leadership, program development, and a commitment to empowering adults, children, youth, and families through evidence-based, client-centered practice.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand your unique story. I believe healing happens in a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions, challenges, and hopes for the future. My role is to walk alongside you, offering both compassionate listening and practical tools to help you navigate life’s ups and downs.

I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to build on your strengths, uncover new perspectives, and create meaningful changes that last. I truly believe you are the expert of your own life, and my job is to help you recognize the resilience and resources you already have—while supporting you in developing new strategies that promote growth and well-being.

To make sure therapy feels like the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can connect, talk through your needs, and explore how I can best support you.

Who I work with

Idividuals (children, teens, and adults): I support people through many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, breakups, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem struggles, and life transitions. Individual therapy can also help with building coping and grounding skills, setting healthy boundaries, and reconnecting with your sense of self.

Couples: Relationships can be deeply rewarding, but also challenging at times. I help couples work through issues such as communication struggles, conflict, resentment, infidelity, or navigating life after separation/divorce. Therapy can provide a space to rebuild trust, strengthen connection, and learn new ways to support one another.

Families: Family dynamics can be complicated, and it’s not always easy to navigate conflict or changes together. I work with families to improve communication, resolve tension, and strengthen relationships. Whether it’s parent-teen conflict, navigating transitions, or finding new parenting strategies, family therapy can help create more understanding and connection at home.
