About Me

I am the Owner and Clinical Director of Star Holistic Services Inc., where I provide individual, couple, and family therapy, as well as facilitate psychoeducational workshops and group programs. I work closely with clients to support personal growth, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges in a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment.

With extensive private practice counselling experience and over a decade in child welfare as a Child Protection Worker, I have worked with children, youth, teens, and families to provide therapeutic support, guidance, and advocacy. I have also fostered over 30 youth through various Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario, which has deepened my understanding of trauma, attachment, and resilience.

In addition to my counselling practice, I serve as a Clinical Supervisor for Registered Social Workers and as a Field Instructor for Master of Social Work students at the University of Toronto. I have supervised and mentored over 25 Child and Youth Workers, as well as numerous Social Work students, supporting their growth in direct care and psychoeducational programming.

My professional background also includes experience as a School Social Worker and Attendance Counsellor with the TDSB, where I delivered strengths-based, trauma-informed workshops and psychoeducation on resilience, peer support, family wellness, and coping strategies tailored to the needs of students, families, and communities.

I am skilled in a variety of trauma-informed, strengths-based therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based approaches. These tools allow me to provide flexible, individualized counselling that meets clients where they are, helping them build coping skills, foster emotional well-being, and navigate complex life transitions.

I am committed to helping clients and their families build resilience, strengthen connections, and enhance overall well-being through personalized counselling and engaging, practical psychoeducational support. These experiences inform my counselling approach, where building a strong, trusting relationship with each client is central—because research shows that a supportive therapeutic relationship is one of the most important predictors of progress and healing.
