I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). I have had professional, volunteer, and practicum experience in the community and social work field. I am a compassionate and dedicated social worker who has worked alongside clients who struggle with grief, anxiety, depression, life stressors and transitions, and interpersonal and relational issues.
Although I have utilized several evidence-based therapies in my professional practice, such as Emotion focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I aim to work collaboratively with individuals to discover what modality works best to support their needs and goals. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as walking my dog, Cobie.
I also enjoy the experience of dining at a variety of restaurants, from hidden gems to local staples. My philosophy of practice stems from an empathetic, compassionate and client-centred approach. My aim is to achieve positive change and inner peace by working at your pace, allowing you to take the lead. The client is the expert to understand their own needs, experiences, and the direction they want to take in self-change.
