About Me

John is an experienced Social Worker who brings over twenty years of experience working with children and families facing a broad range of needs. He has experience working with families impacted by separation and divorce in addition to issues of mental health, developmental disabilities, substance use, alcohol and family violence. He has led investigations involving child abuse and neglect, and has a strong understanding of the needs of marginalized groups and the importance of practicing from an anti-racism/anti-oppressive perspective.

John has a calm demeanor and takes an empathic, strength-based and non-judgemental approach with the individuals he works with. He has extensive experience working with children at different developmental stages, and being a parent and step-parent himself, he understands the stressors and difficulties associated with raising children and blending families.

John holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto. He is a registered Social Worker with over twenty years of experience in the social service sector.
