About Me
My professional experience includes working with adolescents, adults and seniors in individual and couples therapy. I have supported many folks experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns; addictions; life transitions; precarious housing; suicidal ideations; physical impairments; daily life stressors; learning disabilities; social, emotional and behavioural challenges; and grief and loss.
I strongly believe that every person is resilient and deserving of wellness. As your therapist, I hope to create a safe and compassionate space where you can process your thoughts and express your feelings. We will work together to highlight your strengths and combat negative self-talk to promote healing and growth. I like to meet clients where they are; this is your therapy and we can take it as slowly as you need. Whether you’re new to therapy or you’ve worked with someone in the past, I understand that asking for help can be hard. Therapy is a process which requires a bond between therapist and client and throughout our journey, I welcome transparency and feedback.
Some approaches that I draw from include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Self-Compassion. I aim to practice utilizing an intersectional, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, anti-colonial, and strengths-based approach.
Credentials: I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto. I am a registered Social Worker practicing as a psychotherapist.
