Monica Macchiusi

Clinical Social Worker

RSW, MSW

Monica holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto and brings extensive experience to her role as a facilitator. Monica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over six years of experience supporting children, youth, individuals, and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. Her practice is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to helping people feel seen, understood, and supported—especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.

With a background in child protection and foster care support, Monica has extensive experience working with families in crisis, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized care plans. She has supported children and youth through transitions, helped strengthen parent-child relationships, and promoted long-term healing and resilience in the face of adversity.

As a former Foster Support Worker, she also worked closely with caregivers to manage behavioural challenges, nurture attachment, and build safe, supportive environments. She has mentored social work students and colleagues in reflective, trauma-informed practice.

In every role, Monica brings a relational approach that centers safety, compassion, and respect. Her workshops reflect this same philosophy—offering participants both practical tools and a supportive space to grow, connect, and build confidence in their work and personal lives.
